Silent Sanctuary: Updates

Mum is going Vietnam with my 2 other uncles tomorrow. I am hence tasked to go over to my uncle's house at Punggol to feed his fishes and water the plants. -.-
If things go as planned (rather spontaneously), Fyn & I could use the flat for a stay over session. Whooo hooo~One night of having my own flat is SHIOK!

Back dating, Von & I had an impromptu dinner date yesterday.
I had intended to name our outing last night as "Monday food hunt with Vonxiez".
She had this 40% discount from Borders and wanted to get some novels and me,just plainly wanna visit long-time-no-see-Takashimaya-B2.

My friend is such a literature person. Don't count me in. I mean, I do LIKE to read actually but I don't really go pick up the books and buy them. I won't know which one is good until someone introduced me or it is well accredited.

Any girl would have an almost instant orgasm in her mind upon seeing this book. Almost like a picture bible, do nothing but good!

Shy Vonx and she made me took pic with our childhood pet - Spot.

After Borders,we walked the way back to Taka when a China lady handed us this.

She told us in her China accent coated chinese, that we can try a free 10 mins at their store blah blah.
Vonx immediately said, "Isn't this for guys?" and we walked off,actually ignoring her.
I took at the look at the flyers and asked, "Do we look like man?"

WTF. -__- Wanna give up flyers and promote must also see your target audience right?

Very much to our disappointment(mainly mine) that the whole of Takashimaya was closed! And there is nothing ready yet at the Taka square. We have to find a place for our empty stomach and tired legs so we settled at the Delifrance,Lv 1.

Somehow we have a rather du-lan looking Malay manager telling us to sit where we can cos' there is no other seats AND tell us that we CAN'T take photos of their food. Like WTF is that?
Vonx and I stared with big question marks repeating,"We can't take photos for the food?"

While I understand there possibly could be some copy right issues but heck, this is like DELIFRANCE not some atas French restaurant. What is so copy right looking for your Caesar Salad? It's not that I am video taping the way your chefs cook,right?

Suddenly I thought of the "Do you know who am I?" joke that we shared at Iguana? If I were to say that to that du-lan looking manager when he told us we can't take photos, I just wonder what would he say. LOL.

Anyway telling me and Vonx not to take photos at our food served is as good as telling us not to eat. One of us has to do the job anyway and Vonx just took a quick snap of those very secretive looking food.

What is so special looking about this Caesar salad huh?

Sorry,forgot to rotate the photo. But this is like curry baked rice which actually just tasted like rice with curry gravy and a layer of cheese on top. WHERE GOT BAKED?

I just love this choco lava cake. Forgot the name again..hehe.

Vonx fell in love with the Starbucks Halloween specials bears and she got the pumpkin one before I can do for her.

I told her you must do the =3 pose with plushies.

Insisting that she just can't act cute so she did her signature paegent winning pose. (Looks like she is endorsing something.)

I've seem the bear, touched and crushed it. It's really soft and nice! I just can't understand why wouldn't a boyfriend buy that for his girlfriend who really loves it? Even for $24.90?

We ended Monday night with that and I promised I would get her the owl one.

Today Central HK Cafe opened at Selegie. Fyn & I being Hongkie food lovers(back in HK) went there during our lunch time.

It is a fairly small outlet and packed at lunch time.We were lucky to get seats but it took us a lil more effort to catch the waiter's attention for ordering.

We ordered:
1) French toast
2) Luncheon & fried egg sandwich
3) HK milk tea
4) Ice red bean

After a REALLY long wait, we were served:

1)Peanut butter toast
2)EGG salad sandwich

???? My sandwich came first so I told them this isn't what I ordered. They took the plate back and I was telling Fyn it is not that difficult to just put a slice of luncheon meat in that sandwich.
Minutes later, another waitress took the SAME plate of sandwich back to me.

Wha lao. I can't be bothered to argue and lunch time is precious.

Same thing with the french toast turning to peanut butter toast, Fyn & I just rolled our eyes.

While Fyn's peanut butter toast is still managable (But looks very hard to me), I have zero intention to take photo of my egg sandwich. It just tastes so freaking normal and I don't think it is anything worth $3.50? Not to mention I actually had egg sandwich in the morning!

I had to ask for a few times for our drinks before it finally came. I mean, what is so difficult in doing the drinks first?

Our disappointment with this Central HK Cafe hit the bottom when we drank.
Fyn said the milk tea IS SUGARLESS and has to ask for sugar to be added before it is drinkable. To add on,she said her mouth feel 'plastic' after the drink.
Come to think of it...PLASTIC?? That is a rather sensitive and dangerous word right now? (LOL.)

My ice red bean is simply bland. Tasteless red beans in chalky water.(What milk??)

We damaged our pocket of $17.80 in total and this is completely injustified lah!
Maybe I can write it off as it is their first day, busy, lunch hour and actually staff service is ok. But when the auntie asked how was the food, I just can't bring myself to smile and overwrite my conscience.

Order cocked out, bland tasting food, long waiting time and we walked back to the office STINKED! I regret to inform that we won't be going there anymore.

Duh.

After work, I scurried off to the other nearest Starbucks outlet (Plaza Sing) to hunt for owl.
I broke to big smile when I see 3 owls lying on their nest. I picked the one in the middle and called Vonx immediately. =D

My ladies, please do not feel jealous. I am not biased de. My pure intention is to want Von to smile after all she been through lately. If dumb dumb bf won't buy, I don't think that $20plus is very dear to buy Vonx happiness. Besides she really loves it. I know she loves the pumpkin one but why not complete it?
And you know, I just love u all as equally right?

Of cos' the bear is just so soft and furry, I can't resist cam whore with it first. (Ok, I apologise for that.)
